My background is working with small and mid-sized businesses in and around Lancaster County, as well as individual tax clients. I spent the first 25 years of my career in firms of varying sizes in the area. I decided to work on my own to maximize the impact I can have with my clients, from being the one to help the bookkeeper with monthly accounting questions, to the one working with the owners to discuss business strategies, to the one talking to the bank about financing needs and company performance. My role is to be as involved in my client’s businesses in as much or as little detail as they need. Each relationship is unique.

In addition to business clients, I also work with individual taxpayers. Many CPA firms are not interested in preparing returns for what the industry calls “disconnected” 1040s, or 1040s for individuals who are not owners of a business. While some people are comfortable doing their own tax return, for those that aren’t, I offer a reasonably priced approach where you know the preparer has an extensive background in tax preparation and can provide advice throughout the year.
